We’re really getting into our stride in the MFL department. Now that the Languae Perfect World Championships are over, I have talked to Scott in New Zealand and told him how much our pupils enjoyed the challenge of learning as many words as possible, in many languages , we’re all so proud of our pupils and can’t get over the fact that they achieved 49 certificates – in a week!!! Scott from Language Perfect said that he’ll be putting the certificates in the post soon! We’re now busy preparing for the European Day of Languages on Monday 26th September. Routes into Languages and Miss Bell are running a poster competition for all pupils, for the week, so please look at the many information posters around the school and hand your finished entries to Miss Bell. There is a flag competition which our year 7’s are invited to take part in, all tutor groups are invited to take part in a quiz, which can be found on Fronter. The canteen will be serving European Dishes and snacks from Tuesday to Thursday, so Grangefield school will have a definite international feel all next week – flags are hanging all round the MFL department so thanks to Mme Plouchart for this, and in fact many thanks to Miss Bell for organising the week and the other language teachers for helping!! Miss Bell’s Spanish evening class, which we’re hoping some more of our Grangefield parents will come along to, got off to a great start this week. There are still a few places available – so parents – take this wonderful opportunity to learn some Spanish for your holidays! Please phone the school to find out further details.
