These video clips are for 9g4 who are preparing for their speaking test for the last module 'Meeting People' for their FCSE and we've been discussing Star Academy, so this and the previous two clips are past winners of Star Academy.
After a trip to Le Touquet and the market there, we visited the Chocolate Factory Le Beussent, and all thought that the chocolate there was divine, we set off back through the Channel Tunnel back to England. On the M20 we hit our first problem of the journey, as it was closed at one of the junctions and we hardly moved for over three hours. Still our pupils were really patient, we watched movies, played I spy (!) - the M20 can be surpringly interesting, and eventually returned home at 1.30 am - just a two hour delay in the end. Many thanks to our teachers Mr Carrs, Mrs McHale, Mr Pick, Miss Bell, our drivers Rod and Jason, Halsbury Travel and above all our pupils for being 'up for it' and making this such a wonderful, worthwhile experience!
Remember - pupils - hand in your completed booklets to your group leader by the end of next week, and we look forward to seeing if you met all the challenges, and reading your accounts of the visits. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you all back at school tomorrow!
We've had another great day in the Pas-de-Calais, starting with the town trail in Boulogne, then after a meal at the Restaurant City James, we saw a wonderful pancake demonstration there, the pupils helped make and then eat pancakes, and we were given an amazing marzipan plaque of Boulogne with Grangefield School written on it! After this, we went to Nausicaa, which we really enjoyed, then played a few games on the beach, then it was off to the restaurant Hamiot in Boulogne finishing with a visit to a disco in Le Touquet! And we're back! The pupils should be asleep soon after such a busy day! Bonne nuit!
We've all arrived safe and sound, after a tiring trip down to Dover, but we were in France in no time, went to the Cité Europe, then checked into our hotel, followed by an interesting visit to the sweet factory - Bec a suc in Bologne. Et nous voila !!!! Weather has been lovely today, and now the pupils are all shattered and hopefully asleep soon! We're all looking forward to our visit to Boulogne town and Nausicaa tomorrow!
